Dining Out

Some recommended local places to eat and drink:

The Griffin Inn
Carvery, Bar and Restaurant menus. Locally-sourced produce including locally-caught fresh fish, vegetables grown in the West Country and meat from local farmers. Recommended by Cornwall Good Seafood Guide.

Carvery meals are served every Sunday from 12pm – 3pm and 6pm – 9:30pm, also on Thursday evenings all year round, or choose from the various other menus.

The Fort Inn
The Fort Inn, Newquay, is a welcoming pub on the North Cornish coast that prides itself on catering for families with young children. It has a veranda which looks out over Newquay town beaches.

Lewinnick Lodge
One of the best places to eat in Newquay, using the best Cornish produce available. Whether you’re looking for a pub in Newquay for a post-surf pint, or a cosy hangout after a windswept walk along the coast path, Lewinnick Lodge is a casual venue fit for any occasion. It is also the perfect place for your own personal celebration.

The Bowgie Inn
The famous ’Bowgie’, which is Cornish for cowshed, is one of Cornwall’s best loved local pubs. Just South of Newquay at Crantock it sits on the coast just above the coastal path with beautiful views out to sea and has a large car park. Walk on around the headland to Poly Joke beach, a secluded long sandy beach at low tide, just the place for peace and quiet where the kids can run free. Now in 2020 has been fully refurbished and looking more lush than ever!
